Privacy, without turbulence.

Avyloft is provided by Alderbeam, Inc. The native apps are local-first and do not require an account. If you create an optional account, Avyloft processes only the information needed to authenticate you and synchronize the categories you choose.

Data stored on your device

Without an account, flights, history, window preference, diary, Journey Photos, downloaded Journey Packs, map data, and operational state remain in app-controlled local storage. A saved route is sent to the Avyloft API when the app prepares or refreshes scenery.

Optional account and sync

Firebase Authentication processes account identity and supported sign-in credentials. Avyloft stores an internal profile, preferences, devices, routes, schedules, Journey Summaries, statistics inputs, and Journey Photo metadata in its PostgreSQL account database. Diary text is synchronized only when you explicitly enable diary backup.

Photos and location

Journey Photo image files are not uploaded by the current account system. Metadata such as caption, favorite, cover selection, approximate route position, and dimensions may sync. Live location samples, raw sensor readings, Viewfinder frames, caches, and diagnostic detail are not synchronized.

Analytics

Anonymous analytics and stability collection is on by default and can be turned off in Settings. Avyloft does not attach email, account IDs, routes, location, diary text, or photo metadata to analytics events.

Infrastructure and retention

Authentication uses Firebase. APIs run on Cloudflare and synchronized account data uses the existing Neon PostgreSQL database. Deleted synchronized records use tombstones for up to 90 days so offline devices can receive deletions. Operational logs are minimized and must not contain diary or photo content.

Your choices

You can export synchronized account data, sign out without removing native local data, remove devices, turn optional backup off, or permanently delete the cloud account. See account deletion instructions.
